About us

LINK Educational Alliance is launching LINK Parent Academy, the first organization of its type in this region of Europe. LINK Parent Academy at LINK Educational Alliance is a year-round program that helps parents become more active in their children’s education. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all children receive an outstanding education by educating parents on the significance of their roles, bringing families and schools together, and giving parents a greater awareness of their rights, duties and educational opportunities. Parents are welcome to attend free monthly sessions at the Institute for Contemporary Education. Furthermore, parents will be able to attend programs that are tailored to their specific requirements and conveniently placed near their homes and workplaces, in downtown Belgrade.

LINK Parent Academy will offer a variety of events for parents, including training and seminars, as well as provide help from pedagogists and sociologists (parents and pupils frequently require assistance with issues unrelated to school), a counseling center, and yearly promotional activities.

LINK Parent Academy employs positive, practical and research-based methods in its approach to parenting.

Programs at LINK Parent Academy are among the most sophisticated and effective in the industry. When it comes to solving your parent’s unique needs, the experienced, accredited parenting coaches at LINK Parent Academy provide solutions based on current research. They’re here to help you be the best parent you can be, without judgment! Here at LINKgroup, we have over 25 years of professional experience working with parents to help them achieve their goals for their families, children, and themselves.

With the aim of encouraging healthy parenting and resolving challenging topics such as controlling children’s anxiety, teaching responsibility and more, LINK Parent Academy offers one-on-one coaching, groups, and seminars for parents, grandparents, families and children’s friends… “It takes a village to raise a child.”

Parental Involvement and Engagement

What is a well-documented factor in academic success? According to several studies, a family’s engagement in their child’s education has a direct impact on the child’s academic success. When parents and guardians are actively involved in their children’s educational experiences, they provide the encouragement and support that helps students develop a lifelong passion for learning.

In order for schools to assure the success of their students, families must be encouraged to get involved. It is a great strategy to employ in order to create a positive learning environment for all children. Families and teachers may work together to help children achieve their academic objectives. Teachers and parents must work together to ensure that children’s education is a priority for both parties.

Family or parent involvement is different from school engagement in that it doesn’t necessarily lead to improved student performance. Children and their families are encouraged to participate in school events and activities, while teachers provide educational resources and information on their students’ grades. Teachers have the major responsibility for establishing educational objectives for their students. In their role as academic counselors for children, they communicate with parents and caregivers.

Instructors may provide advice, but parents and caregivers know their children best. A student’s educational experience is better when both sides provide their opinions. With the help of parents and guardians, school and home may work together as a unit.

Higher test scores, higher graduation and postsecondary enrolment rates, improved self-esteem and motivation, as well as improved social skills and classroom behavior are all associated with children who grow up in families who place a high value on education.

Additionally, they are less likely to suffer from low self-esteem. It is necessary to encourage and motivate them in the classroom.

Researchers have shown substantial correlations between parental participation and student academic achievement in more than fifty different studies. The sooner instructors get parents involved, the better their students’ grades will be. In primary school, strong family relationships establish the groundwork for future student success and involvement. When students receive more substantial assistance, classrooms with engaged families do better. For many families, it’s difficult to get their children to go to school because of a variety of obstacles. Lack of time and transportation make volunteering and attending teacher conferences challenging. Families may not feel welcome if a solid family–teacher relationship isn’t established at the beginning of the school year.

LINK Parent Academy employs positive, practical and research-based methods in its approach to parenting.

How to Improve Family Relationships

Recently, research on the benefits of parental involvement has moved to the forefront, with studies stating that it improves children’s academic and non-academic achievements. Good news: you may start a family–teacher conversation at any time. But the sooner parents get involved, the more prepared their children will be to succeed in school.

Providing families and caregivers with opportunities for active participation is essential in family engagement. Schools must remove barriers to student participation and elevate them to the status of important voices on campus. Family–teacher associations, for example, may be encouraged by schools, and virtual meetings may be held for families who cannot attend in person.

Parents and teachers work together to help students succeed by including families in their children’s education. Results from various studies show, than when parents participate, adolescents are more likely to graduate from secondary school and go to college, as well as improve their grades and attend school regularly.

Is it possible to tell the difference between engagement and participation?

The terms „parental involvement“ and „parental engagement,“ while similar, are not interchangeable. For many families, involvement in school is a one-way, prescriptive process. As an example, a secondary school may present parents with a list of volunteer possibilities. On the other hand, true partnership between families and schools is at the heart of engagement. Family involvement in high-level planning, issue solving and contributions to the community is essential for fostering engagement.
